Jazayere Ghanari (فیلم جزایر قناری) is a 2025 Iranian comedy-drama that brings together crime, chaos, and humor in a unique blend. Directed by Adel Masoumian and written by Hossein Mahkam, the film tells the story of two inmates, Bijan and Naeem, who are granted temporary release from prison under unusual circumstances.

Their freedom comes at a price: a powerful drug lord named Manouchehr wants them to complete a job they failed to finish before their arrest. What begins as a straightforward mission quickly unravels into a series of unpredictable events, forcing the two men to navigate a world that’s both absurd and dangerous. As they attempt to stay one step ahead of the law—and Manouchehr—they find themselves questioning their own choices and values.

With a talented ensemble cast that includes Pejman Jamshidi, Amir-Mehdi Juleh, Bijan Banafshekhah, and Roya Mirelmi, the film strikes a balance between sharp comedy and reflective moments. The visual style is colorful and energetic, matching the fast-paced nature of the plot.

Released across Iran in summer 2025, Canary Islands quickly became a box office success, appealing to audiences with its witty dialogue, strong performances, and satirical look at crime and redemption.
